The Excalibur Group is currently seeking Shelter Receptionist/TAM Site Receptionist in Washington, DC to provide care and support for DC residents at multiple shelters throughout the district.
Shelter Receptionists, we are offering flexibility in your work hours as shifts can be day shifts or overnight shifts (7 AM to 7 PM, or 7 PM to 7 AM). Personnel will be scheduled to accommodate the needs of our client and participate in working between 40-60 hours a week no more than 12 hours in a workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome arriving guests to the facility, ensuring completion of all building access procedures (e.g., sign-in prior to facility entry and exit).
- Monitor departure and arrival of clients to ensure Code of Conduct compliance.
- Ensure only authorized personnel and clients enter the facility.
- Notify Site Managers of any incidents, issues, or unmet needs within the area(s) where the Building Receptionist is stationed.
- Support tidiness and upkeep of stationed area, to include assistance with modifications (e.g., seasonal decorations).
- Be available and willing to travel to multiple locations within Washington DC and deal with multiple daily work scenarios, thinking quickly on your feet to complete assigned tasks in a professional manner.
- Job sites will be on New York Ave NE in Washington DC.
- Jobs sites are subject to change or be added based on client needs and continued employment requires you to be able to work on site.
- High School diploma or GED
- One year’s experience in providing direct care to vulnerable populations
- Ability to support survivors in crisis with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
- Must be able to pass a Child Abuse background check, and all applicable state and federal criminal background checks
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must provide proof of work eligibility status upon request
- Preferred
- Spanish speaking fluency
- DC Residency
- Professional Registrations or Certification including Project Management.
$25/Hour
